Blooming Again

I did manage to finish one small thing this weekend...I quilted and bound Bloom #2. I wanted the quilting to look like wallpaper in the background. It's not bad. Beyond that I've been so sick...I'll spare you the gross details. I'm heading back under the covers. Maybe a good sleep and some tea will do the trick.

Thank you for all your kind comments on my redwork quilt. I haven't chosen a name yet, it's too hard to concentrate feeling like this. I'll be back with the winner when I feel better.

One thing that can't wait is the the list of blocks that have arrived this week for Project Improv. Here they are:

Ronit - 3 blocks...thanks so much for the backing fabric...and the coasters...they're so perfect in my family room!

Quilt tops will appear this week. I'm excited to show you. Thank you for all your kindness. We have 196 participants. I'm overwhelmed and thrilled! Thanks for taking this journey with me.

    That is so pretty and colorful--just the thing for winter. I think you achieved the look you wanted with the quilting--it does look like wallpaper.

    Please share with us the reaction the church ladies have to the red work quilt. I want to know if anyone whispers under their breath that you are on drugs! :)

    I love your wall hanging. I hope you get lots of rest and get better. There is nothing worse than being sick. Take Care of yourself, drink lots of water and have some chicken soup.

    I sure hope you feel better SOON! Nothing like feeling yukky. Your Bloom quilt is precious. I love it so much!     I found your blog while surfing. I am a quilter too and love to do improv quilting. I was lucky enough to take a workshop with Freddy Moran and Gwen Marsten last year at Asilomar in CA. It was such an inspiration to spend a week with them! They are the queens of improvisation! I working on animprov quilt at the moment, but I also love traditional hand applique.
    Your redwork quilt is wonderful.
