On The Line Again

I'm working on a new "on the line" quilt for a friend's laundry room. She wanted it 36 x 36 which is way bigger than I usually make these quilts. I had to change my method a bit to work in such a large scale.
It's so much fun to customize it for their activities and family. They've got these cats...
The husband is a fly fisherman...aren't these the cutest waders and I adore that union suit.
I'm still playing with the layout, but I can't wait to start the applique and add details.

Finished the largest commission piece, a 60 x 90 spiderweb quilt. Off to deliver that and hopefully some sewing time tonight.

  17. I have wanted to make a wall hanging of clothes on a clothes line but just never seem to get around to it.

What do you charge for a commission work? I find it so hard to come up with a price on many of my items.

I've just gone through some older posts and stumbled upon the one about Fudge. How sad, but you did the right thing. I've had to put three to sleep in the last two years.

    Lucky Bruno...thanks for saving him.

  30. oh darn...was that spiderweb the selvage one?? cuz I got a big old selvage waiting to go in the mail........

hmmm, you've given me an idea for another quilt. I could do a "on the line" quilt...and make little replicas of the things that I've made for the kids...out of the scraps from them....you know a little dress from the same material as sister's dress...or little shorts from the boys' ball shorts?

oooo I'll have to add that tothe UFO list.
