A Winner and Not Much Else

It hasn't been the week I'd planned. I'm on my 4th day of a migraine and the end is not is sight. I've made it through the days, but I definitely haven't done all the basting I'd planned. Leaning over on hands and knees simply wasn't possible this week. I did manage to finish these pillows. I think they have a nice fall feeling. They're on my living room sofa. Pretty amazing scraps, don't you think? They are the first finished project from my scrap to treasure group. I'm still working on a quilt from the scraps I received. Maybe this weekend I can tackle that again.

So, to the business of the day. I did the random number thingy with the comments from Ben's blog (thanks again) with those that were left on Monday's post and the winner was Nanette! Nanette said, "Oh Gosh Jacquie. I love them all so much. You truly do inspire me. Sometimes I dream an idea and I come here and you've already got it on fabric!"
Nanette blogs at Freda's Hive, and is in the flurry of a wedding. I was so thrilled to count down and see her comment! I wish I could send one to all of you. Nanette, I'll be in touch and get this on the way to you.
Have a great weekend everyone.

As a fellow migraine sufferer the fact that you're concious is effort enough! Take care Jacquie and I hope you feel better soon.

i love those pillows! I would love to know how you made them - is it easy? I'm guessing it's a variation on your wonky log cabin blocks....? they're so lovely and i bet they would look just as great in almost any mix of solids and prints.

I'm impressed you can do anything with a migraine. I usually draw the line at sitting up, let alone crafting. Hope you feel better soon!

I know just how you feel because I get migraines a lot too. Hope you feel better very soon!

And those pillows are gorgeous... I love that they're so wonky and then quilted with strange lines.

Sending you soft cloud pillows to lie your aching dark head on. As a fellow sufferer in the midwest, I take your hand and say--what the hell? every person I know that has migraines has had them sometime in the last week. and if they are lucky, they've been entralled the whole week..dude! has to be this ever changing midwest weather.

here's hope that it is changing for you.

love your pillows. here's to soothing eye candy, darkness if you need it, love to surround you, peace to melt into, life to live.

oh, ouch!
I get migraines, too, and can totally sympathize. One thing I have learned: keep pushing for a better treatment. My current neurologist spent so much more time with me than my old one and made a list of which medications we would try in what order for what reasons (luckily, the first one on the list is working wonders with very limited side effects!) Also, I learned a lot from reading "Help for Headaches" by Saper.

That's it for today's unsolicited advice : )

Lovely pillows!

The pillows are beautiful. What pattern did you use...or did you use a pattern?

My sympathies about the migraines. I, too, suffer from severe sinus headaches...not much improvement from the migraines I used to have.

Feel better soon!

Hello, I love your quilts and appreciate your generosity in sharing them. The laundry line is charming. Your sense of color is never boring and works perfectly. The fall pillows evoke autumn and yet have unexpected touches to them. I hope you get to feeling better soon. Happy Quilting!

LOVE those colour combinations. The pillows are just gorgeous. I've been working on wonky - not as successful as i feel i should be... you'd think it was easy!

Hope you feel better - 4 days is far too long for you to be feeling so bad... :( All the best - hope the weekend is relaxing and helps you get back on your feet.

Hope you are feeling better, Jacquie. Interesting how you developed migraines and I a bad back, right after each of our children went so far away. I think, at least in my case, there is a connection, maybe for you, too. Hope you get relief soon.
(The pillows are very fun and festive.)
