So, how did you do this week? Did you make your goal? I’m ashamed to admit that I didn’t. My trip to Minneapolis messed me up. I was much more into fun, shopping and eating than exercising. I could have, but I didn’t.
We’re not sure of our team miles this week. The gov site is telling us that we’re back at 436 miles…either we’ve gone across the US once already or we’re all walking backwards. It doesn’t really matter as long as you’re moving your butt! If you made your goal, drop me a comment and Katie and I will draw for this week’s prizes.(I’m stuffing a gallon ziplock with some great scraps!) You can enter here or on her site. (two chances to win!)Leave a comment and let us know how you’re doing even if you didn’t meet your goal.
We’ll be doing a prize monthly, so keep on moving your butt. To enter next month you need to make your goal and start sewing your fabrics to enter. We want to see less of your butt and more of your creativity and talent!
Check out Katie’s site for a great recipe involving my new addiction, Greek yogurt! Keep on moving folks!
Send good wishes to our friend and fellow quilter butt participant, Robin, who was attacked by a dog on her trail run. We wish her the best and that she's back on the road soon.
Glad you asked....still on goal and seeing the results already. This is really working!
ReplyDeleteOh I missed my goal this week, but exceeded it last week. Turned vegan in the fall (after being a veggie for 12 years) and it (and exercise) did wonders for my blood levels (cholesterol, triglycerides) as I enter the next stage of my life... argh.
ReplyDeleteI already left a comment on Katie's page, but I made my goal this week. :) Haven't started sewing any scraps together though -- just too busy with other things!
ReplyDeleteEven though I'm still in Virginia, I did exceed my weekly goal. Perhaps I need to revise it! I need to start pulling scraps for the quilting project.
ReplyDeleteyeah for the drawing, and i did make my goal this week unlike the week before. i'm actually excited for the requirement of starting to sew the improv together, sometimes i need more motivation for that than an easy, quick run! thanks for the encouragement!
ReplyDeletemade it both weeks!
ReplyDeletei haven't sewn any fabric together yet!
katieb
i'm just walking and riding a couple of miles on most days... but it's a couple more than i was doing before, i'm amazed at what some of you are doing!
Oh... thanks so much! You were so sweet to leave a comment and best wishes. My leg is coming along. I am hoping for a morning walk tomorrow to see how it goes! By the way... I believe you are one of the most talented quilters and I have observed your work for the last couple of years. You and Katie are wonderful for getting us all jazzed about excercising and improv.
ReplyDeleteHi Jacquie, I made my goal this week. Yay! I was telling my husband about this today and he was so excited about the possibility of winning a bag of scraps that he wants to join!!! Ha, ha, ha! Each to his own!!
ReplyDeleteI was doing really well and then had a few days where the walk just didn't work out. I couldn't leave my five year old home alone and I just couldn't convince her to come with me. She would have to walk FAST.
ReplyDeleteI actually started a new quilt today but I have cut up way more fabrics than miles I have walked so this quilt won't be one for the challenge unless I go run a double marathon tonight - Which would put me WAY over my goal...
Hurray I made my goal this week!!!!
ReplyDeleteI just missed my goal by just over half a mile. :(
ReplyDeleteI haven't started any creating yet....I have pulled fabric, just waiting for inspiration!
I've been exercising and setting goals... but not entering my mileage! Can't find the link... can ya help a sista out?! :)
ReplyDeleteSo need to enter the milage! Had two family b-days last week so there goes the good eating! I am definitely going to kick it up this week with more normal hubby work hours coming tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteIt has been so hot here in Southern Louisiana that we walk only around 11 pm. And it is STILL hot! But I have walked, well I say walked....with a Basset Hound you do not actually walk. You rather SMELL down the street. Frank has his gout acting up and I have to tak both dogs. Dutch, the Swissy and I usually do a mile around the block in a walk run sort of thing. But this week we have fallen behind in the numbers!
ReplyDeleteglen
dang headlights still broken. sposed to be fixed THIS FRIDAY!!!
ReplyDeletecan't go to gym in daytime as that's mommie time (when awake).
so no headlights = no gym = sad Sarah sad.
I didnt' join the butt challenge, but I appreciate reading all about it. Thanks for the link for the recipe. I have been making my own Greek yogurt for awhile now since it is so expensive to buy. It is not hard to make - it just takes some timing. I make mine from skim milk.
ReplyDeleteTerrible (and frightening!) news about Robin, but I'm glad to see from her comment that she is coming along. I should have joined you (but I'm long-term-commitment-averse, aside from my marriage, of course)...I walked 60 km on the weekend! Wishing you all well towards your goals!
ReplyDeleteAside from the fabric to motivate me, I also told myself that if I can stay on track with the exercise (and reach my goal weight) I am going to go on a Shop Hop in September!! I am doing fine with the exercise but the dial on the scale hasn't budged yet!! HOwever the thought of all that fabric that I am going to buy is great motivation!
