...and this is 'Proposal Moon.'
The back with the moon in another phase for the next phase of our lives together.
Buzz and Jake...that's us.
The quilting...perfection. This was all Angela. I know she's proud of it and I'm in love with it. I'll let her tell you about her quilting.
"When I talk about working with Jacquie, the first thing I gush about is the collaboration we have. We trust each other's vision for the quilt and we are willing to move outside our comfort zones. Since the first time we worked together, we have pushed each other further and further with amazing results.
Proposal Moon was no different. This amazing quilt had such an awesome story, I wanted it to be perfect. Jacquie isn't afraid of giving me suggestions or letting me know what direction she wants the quilting to go. For this quilt, she thought large concentric circles overlapping the moons would be great. Then she left the rest up to me. She pointed me in a direction, and I ran with it.
First I pulled out the orange thread. I knew it would be perfect for the moons. Once those were finished, I had to decide what to do with the rest of the quilt. I decided to keep with the circular theme, and I repeated it throughout the quilt.
I quilted medium sized circles in the strip below the moons. I wanted them to blend in so they didn't compete with the ones above. Pebble quilting helped make them pop. The back view of the medium sized circles is fantastic. They went right through the name Buzz. I didn't plan it, and I didn't notice it until I took the quilt off my machine. It was a happy coincidence!
Moving down the quilt, I quilted the final strip with even smaller circles that were more like large pebbles. They stretch across the quilt and help break up the pebble quilting.
Sometimes in life things turn out far better than you could ever expect. This quilt is a testament to our creative partnership and will hopefully bring joy to her family for generations to come.
Thanks so much Jacquie for being a motivator, teacher, customer, and most importantly, a friend."

You know that I loved that quilt top, but the quilting makes it incredible! Over the top, really. What a fantastic finish.
I still think of your proposal story, I was so excited when I saw this title pop up in my reader ! it is a work of art - just stunning .
Oh this is now simply stunning - the quilting has changed a lovely quilt into a masterpiece - congratulations to both you and Angela on such stunningly beautiful work

Another beautiful quilt!
Wow, simply amazing!
How long did it take Angela to do the quilting?
Guarda la bella luna! My husband learned this pick-up phrase during a college term in Italy. It's our favorite Italian phrase, which we happily proclaim to every full moon. It definitely applies to your quilt, too!
I love the fact that a quilt has a story and this one has 2, must be pretty close to perfection.
Just about the time I think you can do more perfection.....you do! I love your newest perfect quilt.
It's gorgeous! Wonderful work, Angela!!

I just love this quilt, and especially the first quilt photo with the circles of light on the front! Great quilt and photography -- and such a meaningful quilt. And then there's the perfection of the quilting.... I already know I'm going to be coming back her to "visit" this quilt again and again!
That quilting is just amazing. And I love that the quilt has a story behind it...and that your name is Buzz!

I think you have two marriages made in Heaven here, Jacquie... you and your hubby, and you and your quilting whiz partner, Angela. The results of this collaboration are phenomenal! I like the back as much as the front. Fabulous!
