I'm hoping to get some sewing done for myself this week. I have to finish up my traveling quilts blocks and get them on their way and I'd really like to get some tops out of the closet and get some finishes.
I tweaked this top a bit and now it's done. Ready for a good pressing!
I have a panel done for the back, but it needs a little pizzaz! I'm thinking maybe this Olivia dot?
I took these 6 quilt tops out of the closet. I have some backs to make and some basting to do. I'm going to try table basting as soon as I get this first back made. I'll let you know how it goes.
Hope you're getting some sewing in too!
Look at all those beautiful tops! I need to get working on some of mine, too. I keep jumping to the next project! That red and white quilt is stunning and the polka dot is so fun!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt tops totally make me grin. I am new to quilting and I have an accountant's brain so the thought of a "stash" was completely foreign to me and one I had to get used to. Saturday I went to an 8 hour quilting retreat at a local store. One lady worked on 3 projects, didn't finish any of them, and I just marveled that someone was able to do that! Thankfully there was someone else there like me -- we pulled out a project and finished it before starting on something else. It takes all kinds, doesn't it? Hope you finish your tops soon. What is table basting? I need to google that term!
ReplyDeleteDo you usually fold your flimsies and place them over a hanger? I love the idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great combo with the Olivia dot. What will your binding be?
ReplyDeleteYour quilt tops are so inspiring.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Work.
ReplyDeleteLove the Oliva dots! can't wait to see the quilt when it's finished. Love your quilts!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing all these finished. It's good to know I'm not the only one with several projects waiting for the finishing touch. haha Embarrassed to admit how many.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a quilt 'show'.....!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see these finished. I can tell they will be wonderful! Table basting is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI too love the Olivia dots. Great choice in my book. Inspiring to see your work in progress tops. I can't get over how talented you are!
ReplyDeleteWhat beauties! Can't wait to see how you decide to quilt them :)
ReplyDeleteand i thought i had alot of quilt tops! I feel better now. Every one looks amazing and i think the olivia dots are a great choice.
ReplyDeleteOh Jacquie, I'm jealous as all get out that you're getting to do some sewing for yourself! It's eleventy-billion degrees here (that's the scientific terminology, yes it is), and without central air, the mere thought of being in the same room as the iron makes me cry like a cranky toddler. Maybe once this heatwave breaks?! In the meantime, I'll watch your finishes and cheer you on...from the pool!
ReplyDeleteThey all look so wonderful, hung up like that....sigh.
