I haven't been doing loads of fabric shopping lately, but Tammy of Marmalade was the sponsor of our guild meeting last week and fabric in person is sooo hard to resist. My favorite finds were these three from Bryant Park and Theory from Anthology fabrics. I've already used the orange geometric for the back for the house quilt.
I went a little orange crazy, but it's my favorite color and I have this quilt that needs LOTS of different orange prints. It was fun to have such a great variety to choose.
These are all available from Tammy at Marmalade fabrics...she's got Jessica Jones Outside Oslo too. (I'm doing all new pillows, cushions etc for my living room in that fabric.) I can't decide on which colorway to use....both would work....I need to decide and get going on it.
Tammy in person holding fabric would be impossible to resist - that girl is so CUTE. I would be bankrupt if she anywhere near me!
ReplyDeleteOrange is awesome. It's the colour that makes me happiest.
I too *heart* orange! Tammy WAS irresistible, and I spent a teeny fortune on cottony goodnes :) Yeah for sponsored meetings!!
ReplyDeleteahhhh orange is my fav too!! we must be besties!! haha xx
ReplyDeleteThat's a great bunch of orange goodness!
ReplyDeletetotal fabric envy going on here!

I just placed a marmalade order. I love her solids selections!
ReplyDeleteLovely fabrics
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to see which fabrics in favorite colors excite people. It opens my eyes to new prints that I may have glossed over.
ReplyDeleteOooo. Now I want to do a quilt in orange. (Like I don't have enough WIP as it is...sheesh.)
ReplyDeleteI love orange too, going to have to look for them.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE orange!
ReplyDeletei adore orange... I'm working a orange pile as we speak!
ReplyDeleteI love that Outside Oslo. Did you see on the designer's site how her mom made it into a Weekender Bag for her? It's adorable. One of the best Weekenders I've seen. Mine is getting kind of ratty...
ReplyDeleteNot sure I did that right (but sorry if there are two posts!)! I was just saying that I've really found myself drawn to oranges and reds lately, even though I'd always been a purple/blue/green person. I think it is the influence of all the great modern blogs, like yours, that are showing beautiful quilts with oranges and grays that have been changing my thinking! Thanks - I love your blog, and I really wish I lived closer so I could be part of your guild - looks like a neat group of talented folks!
ReplyDeleteYour fabric choices are just gorgeous! I SO wanted to be visiting my daughter in OP so I could attend your meeting. Marmalade carries my favorite prints... though not that I own any of them! You have excellent taste.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to meet Tammy in person next year at Market (and you too, I hope!) She has such great fabric and customer service. Yeah, it would be pretty hard to resist in person, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteThat's a yummy, yummy orange stack!
ReplyDeleteLove the orange geometric that you used to back mid-century house blocks - it is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics are to die for! Just found your blog and I really like your work/play. I'll stop by again.
ReplyDeletebest, nadia
ahhhh orange.
ReplyDeleteorange is to me as purple is to you.
guess I'll have to find a use for orange soon...
Three weeks ago, I called a Emily from Crazy Old Ladies to ask where to find great oranges. Here you have a STASH of them! I wish I had known better how to find great prints.
