The Gerings Take New York!

Well, maybe that's a bit of an overstatement, but in the next couple of months three of my family members, my two sons and I will be working/performing in the Buffalo, Williamsville neck of the woods.  That's a lot of Gerings for one town.

I was talking to my youngest yesterday and out of the blue he said they were going to be in Williamsville and I told him I was going to be there too.  The boys and The Devil Wears Prada will be doing a show at the end of March.  This is Jon with his new electronic keyboard/computer built into an old organ shell.  This is a new set up for this tour and allows him to play sitting down.  Pretty cool and creative too!

Who knows, maybe there will be a little crossover attendance.  TDWP fans attending my lecture and a few quilters rockin out with TDWP.  I will say the guys in the band are fans of my work (at least one of them is).

I'll be heading to the Aurora Sewing Center in Williamsville April 26 and 27 to do some talking and teaching.  I'll be packing two gigantic suitcases stuffed full of 100 pounds of quilty goodness.  If you're in the Buffalo, Williamsville area I'd love to see you at one of the lecture/trunk shows or in class.  Contact the folks at the Aurora Sewing Center for more info and to get signed up!

Thanks so much for signing up for the newsletter.  Seems like you all think I might have some news to share.  I have a goal and as soon as I reach that number of subscribers the first newsletter will go out.

  1. Jacquie you know I love you but the musician in me just has to say "WOW" about your son's keyboard mod! And...uh...I see a quilt design there too :-)
The people of Williamsville are fortunate indeed

  5. I'm so excited!!!! Something cool is actually going on near my house!!!! I just google-mapped it and I'm only 40 minutes away. I'd love to see your son's band too. My youngest is in a band that plays in Buffalo occasionally so maybe I can talk him into going with me.

  11. I have to show my husband your son's awesome organ/keyboard. He's building something like that in our garage! If I lived in Buffalo still I would totally have attended both events! I hope you had fun.
