This is my submission for Jackie's Illuminated Phrase project at Smoothpebble. Mine isn't a word or even a phrase...but a statement.
"Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures.”
John F. Kennedy
Thanks for the challenge, Jackie. This one really pushed me.

Ooooh I love it. Makes one think, you know? Great job (although where did you find the fabric for the peace symbol???)

Wonderful art quilt. This is what I love about quilting--it can make a statement other than "ooh, pretty!" Or, it can make a statement in addition to "ooh pretty!" :)
Love it!
LOVE this...it really makes a statement;)
Wonderful phrase by Kennedy, Jacquie! It inspired you to make a fabulous quilt!
This is so amazing and powerful and what wonderful inspiration!
Great statement - it's so true. :)

So perfect! Could there be anything more important, more now, more on my brain than this. Quilts tell a story and this is a perfect one for the year 2008.
One word, well, maybe more than one..so powerful. The words: So powerful, so important; your creation exquisitely fits the words. You are such an artist, Jacquie.
This knocks me out. Bravo! The quilt is stunning and powerful, and the quote should be our mantra.
thank you for the info on paint color!! very helpful.
cool!!! how did you do that?!
I was so delighted this morning so see your quilt. It really makes a statement about art and the interconnectedness of life. Thanks.
Awesome!
WOW!! You have knocked my socks off! This turned out really well, and I'm so thrilled that you participated! Aren't you glad this isn't a swap - you get to keep this! That quote is really incredible and your submission is very illuminating!
Wow, that is so cool! I love the way you did it!
I love it! So perfect for your quote
I've been catching up on your blog now that I'm home again. Don't want to send too many comments, but it's been great to read. Your steely log quilt is great. I loved the back but puzzled over it until I scrolled down to your peace post. Wonderful.
