Bluebirds of Happiness

If Christmas lasts all year then finishing a gift today is no big deal. This is the bluebirds of happiness quilt for my mom. She did open the box Christmas morning with the quilt inside, though unfinished, I think she loved and appreciated it immediately. I'm going to deliver it to her today when I finish hand sewing the label.

I love this quilt. My mom loves bluebirds. I love my mom.

Your Mom must have been thrilled! It's a lovely quilt. It seems very soothing with that lovely blue and white working together.

Love the blue and white! I love how each square is like a window looking out at the birds. Wonderful quilt! Nice gift!

Awww, I sure can feel the love over here!

This quilt is beautiful. Funny how the quilting seems to "bring it to life" or something. I liked this quilt when I saw the top, but I LOVE it now.

Beaufitul! I was in the same boat. My sister was very disappointed to have me tell her I had to take her quilt home with me to finish it. It's so wonderful you found the help on your blog and those unnecessary spaces!

I am just about speechless. It is so lovely, so special and filled with love and connection between two such wonderful and loving women. No unbroken threads, generation to generation, a gift from hands expressing appreciation and love, back to such a source of love, support, gentleness and guidance..a circle, unbroken and shared, hands held in mutual love and affection.
(oops..who said I was speechless..tell me to be quiet..I just can't when I see such loveliness.)

It's absolutely beautiful. I love the blue and white. They set off the bluebird blocks so well! Lucky Mom! Glad I'm not the only one who gives presents, with pins still attached and then takes them back to finish them!
