Geese are finally arriving in my forest. These are my first blocks for Anina's
Geese in the Forest BOM. I'm not usually a BOM kind of gal, but her quilt design is so great, I couldn't resist. And it's paper pieced too. I'm not a fan of that either, but again, the quilt is so cool. I'm about a month behind...I have February done...25 more of the March blocks yet to do. Finally decided on pink and orange.
I have lots to choose from for this quilt. I can't wait to see it come together. Another reason I don't like BOM's...no patience.
This is my block for Jessica's month of the Sew Connected Virtual Quilting Bee. She sent beautiful sheets and the orange linen. I added the bit of white to make my idea work. This was a fun block to design. I have two more virtual bee blocks to work on. Then my commitments are finished and I can concentrate on other things. I don't like to have commitments weighing on me...off to sew some more.

Jacquie, I just love orange and pink combinations! I also signed up for that BOM and haven't started yet. I am in the midst of some other projects, which take priority right now. Hopefully, I will get to this BOM soon. I love to paper piece. I love your virtual bee block, again with pinks and oranges, beautiful!
I love what you did with that block! It is gorgeous. I really like the tiny little square of flowers in the edging.

Now that is a delicate and pretty block. I'm just loving vintage sheets...who would have thought of saving our old sheets for future projects.

The pink and orange geese are great! I've only done 1 March one so far (got sidetracked). I love that vintage sheet block, too.
I hate commitments weighing over me too - that's why I avoid them! Good for you for staying on top of things.

That is it! I am going to do the geese. I really don't need a new project, but I can't stand how cute they are.
Just shows what can happen when you mix old patterns with modern fabric. Very cool!
We had folks visiting from the U.S. and I sent the charity block back with them to mail. I thought it stood a better chance of getting there that way. Not sure if I remembered to put anything besides my address on the envelope though. If it hasn't already arrived, it will arrive shortly :-)

love your geese, what GORGEOUS FABRICS. And i'm looking below at the quilts youve put together so far - how AMAZING!! Someone should do a documentary about this, you could put together a book and it could be sold to benefit something.

I LOVE THAT QUILT BLOCK FROM THE QUILTING BEE OUT OF VINTAGE LINENS, do you have a pattern for that block? Or is it one you just did? Lot the lattice look of the border row.
