Two for the Show

Two more quilts done for the show. Cabins in the City...I love how this one turned out.
I really like the back. Kept the quilting minimal on this one. It does have a nice texture, though.
The Modern Grace Hourglass quilt is done too. The organic line quilting took a long time and lots of thread, but it was worth it.
I love the texture the quilting gives to this quilt. The thread is hot pink!
The back is cute too!
I'm hanging the large quilts for the show tomorrow afternoon. These are ready to be loaded in the car. I'm excited to see them hanging. Smaller pieces will be added next week. I think I'm finally starting to realize this show is really going to happen.

  58. Good luck on your show Jacquie. I know it will go off without a hitch! And Kate and I will be there at some point to take it all in. Can I ask, do you send your quilts to someone else to quilt or do you do it yourself? Do you have a large machine or is it something you do on your own sewing machine? Just wondering. That one quilt had alot of quilting....But all of them are just beautiful. Thank you for sharing them.

  77. Looking forward to seeing pix of the quilts hung in the gallery! Congratulations! I wonder if you will be thinking about "visual impact" as you continue your quilting journey? I'm sure it was odd to have to make the decisions about which ones would work in a gallery setting. But I'll bet you must be pleased that your instincts were mostly "spot on," and that your work indeed has "visual impact."
