Two more quilts done for the show. Cabins in the City...I love how this one turned out.
I really like the back. Kept the quilting minimal on this one. It does have a nice texture, though.
The Modern Grace Hourglass quilt is done too. The organic line quilting took a long time and lots of thread, but it was worth it.
I love the texture the quilting gives to this quilt. The thread is hot pink!
The back is cute too!
I'm hanging the large quilts for the show tomorrow afternoon. These are ready to be loaded in the car. I'm excited to see them hanging. Smaller pieces will be added next week. I think I'm finally starting to realize this show is really going to happen.

I love the name "Cabins in the City" and that organic line quilting is fantastic. Huge congratulations on having your own quilt show!
Awesome quilts, really. I am sooo inspired to start one now! It's amazing what you do with colors, I love each and every one. I just discovered your blog, and am trying to find out - is this a hobby? Do you sell your quilts?
Great stuff....
okay, I didn't mean to be Anonymous - I'll try again - really gorgeous quilts!
WOW! Everything looks beautiful Jacquie!! I can't wait to see pictures from the show. Best of luck to you!! :)
Good luck on your show Jacquie. I know it will go off without a hitch! And Kate and I will be there at some point to take it all in. Can I ask, do you send your quilts to someone else to quilt or do you do it yourself? Do you have a large machine or is it something you do on your own sewing machine? Just wondering. That one quilt had alot of quilting....But all of them are just beautiful. Thank you for sharing them.
Your show is going to be amazing! And I love Cabins in the City...wow!
they are both lovely!
Wow, I would love to see a full picture of the Modern Grace Hourglass quilt.
Good luck hanging.
I can't get over how talented you are!

So so pretty.
wow...gorgeous looking quilts-I sure hope you are able to share photos of your show! wonderful quilting on the organic line one...and the hot pink thread - fantastic! your show will so rock
Oh my, these are so goregous they take my breath away;)
I really really love your quilts. Seriously, you could very well be my favorite "blog" quilter. You have a great eye for color, balance, design - and you can appreciate the beauty of quilting in lines as well as meandering. What more can I say - you rock. I'm very excited for you and your show - I wish I could see it in person!
Those look wonderful! Congratulations again on the show. The wonky/straight lines on the hourglass quilt are awesome. I think I will give them a try sometime on one of my quilts.
Don't eat to much cheese at the opening! Though, you can't not have cheese if you are toasting with wine ;)
So much yum in one post! Love the cabin quilt and I am planning on doing the line quilting on a baby quilt I've had under the bed forever. Guess I better go buy more thread eh?
Way to go Jacquie!! It really is coming together. It gave me goosebumps when I read that were hanging your quilts up in preperation for your show. I think in addition to your dad having a superman shirt on - you have a wonder woman shirt on!!
Wow Jacquie - I am speechless with all the quilty goodness on this post. Your show is going to be awesome. Love the organic line quilting - most effective! Do you ever sleep?
those quilts are stunning!! beautiful work!

The quilts turned out fantastic!! You know that I am partial to the Modern Grace quilt. And I just looooovvveee the hot pink thread. Way to go! Wish I could be there to see the show. Best of luck!
Love, love, love that organic line quilting!
Love the organic lines too.
Very natural.
Btw, how's your show going? I hope it's great :)
oh my goodness Jacquie! I love them both! The quilting on the second one really caught my eye, did you just free motion quilt the lines? I love it! How did the show go? Did you have fun? Or was it like you hang them and go?
Jacquie-- could you post more about organice line quilting sometime? I'd like more info. Thanks! Love your blog.
Everything looks fabulous! Good luck in the show!
Looking forward to seeing pix of the quilts hung in the gallery! Congratulations! I wonder if you will be thinking about "visual impact" as you continue your quilting journey? I'm sure it was odd to have to make the decisions about which ones would work in a gallery setting. But I'll bet you must be pleased that your instincts were mostly "spot on," and that your work indeed has "visual impact."
Amazing quilts - the show will be awesome!!!
gorgous quilts. I love that hot pink back - I think that might be my favorite of them all!
I love your quilts and the quilting you did on them. Good luck at the show
Thank you so much for sharing your methods! I admire your quilting and hope to develop an awesome style myself someday. I hope ... I hope....
