Holiday Lull

'Atomic Connections' is coming together. Time in the studio has been eclipsed by cooking for 16 people. One more meal tonight and then all those dishes to wash. I thought I could sneak in some sewing here and there, but it hasn't worked out that way.
I'll be getting some more fun mail in the next few days. I did a little Black Friday shopping in the privacy of my own home. Amazing what a few little clicks can bring you. These are the new additions to the Mingle line by Monaluna, one of my very favorite fabric lines.
Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving and had some time for sewing at your house.

Happy Thanksgiving to you Jacquie! I love the piece you are working on.

Well on the sewing front there is none of that going on here but the kids are home and I am loving spending time with them!

The quilt looks wonderful. So glad you had a nice thanksgiving. I am with you I just love a little bit of online shopping therapy. Gotta love it!! The fabric is the second picture is lovely. But I especially like the one that looks like cobblestones. What line is that?

I love the atomic chain - Can't wait to see how it comes along. Love the fabrics, that's the right kind of shopping, beats standing in line for hours, plus it's fabric which is the best kind of shopping to do anyway. Very little sewing this weekend here too, but lots of cooking.

I love the atomic chain - it is stunning! Love the new fabric purchases, too. I think I need to go check out some of the new Mingle.

I like your atomic chain with the bits of aqua peeking out. very fun and it will be striking when done. as you know, its not a big holiday weekend in Canada, but I'm spending it with the books instead of the fabrics--one last paper to write for the term. happy thanksgiving to you!

Love your atomic chain quilt. So graphic and stunning. You are totally inspiring me to step outside my comfort zone and try a more modern approach! Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving, and got to do some sewing as well.

The quilt looks fantastic! And that is one sweet pile of fabric in my favourite colour combination. Sigh.

Thanks for the eye-candy!

pretty fabrics! I thought I would get to sew on Thanksgiving in between cooking tasks too, but it didn't work out.

I love your atomic connections! I've been thinking of something similar - in a different color - for my Common Threads round.... though the orange is terrific.
