She's at it Again!
A friend dropped by today and we sat in the studio for a bit and she saw these on my cutting table. Her comment, "you're at it again, aren't you? Do you have a plan?"
I could actually say, yes I do. I'm looking forward to sharing it with you...definitely different than my last effort with selvages. I'm hoping I can make it work like I'm envisioning it.
Several of you emailed and asked about the fabrics in the 'sophisticated baby quilt.' The fabrics are not from one line, they're a hodgepodge of my purple fabrics. I know the solid brown is an organic cotton from Cloud 9 fabrics, the purple flowered print is an Amy Butler, i can't remember the brown flowers, and the lilac print is Bohemian Manor by Jason Yenter for In the Beginning fabrics. (got that on a clearance table at my LQS.) I'm not sure of the purple dot either. Hope that helps a bit.
I have been saving my selvages, so am anxious to see what you are up to now!!
ReplyDeleteI love the lines of these blocks!!!!! The selvages are awesome, I don't know how you do it all of my selvages are so small.
ReplyDeleteLooks great, I look forward to seeing what you create this time! I'm in the process of finishing up the top of my own crazy lady quilt - kingsize, handpieced hexagons - and it's great to see other crazy people too :)
ReplyDeleteSelvages: fun, fun, FUN!!
ReplyDeleteSelvages by colour. A nice touch.
ReplyDeleteI so look forward to your posts, to see what beautiful and inspiring quilts you're crafting.
ReplyDeleteOne of the favorite parts of my day.
Looks like it's going to be something fun...I can just feel it!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! it's a wonder you can remember any of the fabric names at all, since you probably cut off the selvages as soon as you start cutting for a project! :D
ReplyDeleteThey look great!
ReplyDeleteAnd those brown flowers are Summer in the City (she says, swooning).
guess I should go on and mail you these selvages I've got set aside....
ReplyDeleteYour selvedges indicate some interesting fabrics in your stash - your work always looks so fresh. Have fun with your new project!
ReplyDeleteThose brown flowers are "Summer in the City" -- I wish I'd known you had some when I came up two charm squares short for my top a while back! :)
ReplyDeleteJacquie - I simply love the way you use colour! Even in your muted and neutral quilts, you inspire me...
