A few scraps, a little fusible web, and a little stitching and quilting and these are finished in a jiffy. I made and gave a bunch of these last year. They make great little gifts to accompany a box or bag of handmade goodies. You can made them as big or small as you want. They could be table toppers, candle mats, mug rugs or just little quilts to bring a smile to someone during the holiday.
Please don't email and ask for a pattern. You can do these all on your own, no problem. Back some fun fabrics with fusible web and start cutting out shapes and putting them together. You'd be surprised what you can come up with!
So far this week I have 5 unfinished stockings, two unfinished pillows, and two table toppers in progress, not to mention the fabric for 5 scarves....I have lots to finish, but that's how I roll. Last minute girl! How about you? Are you making holiday gifts?
Have a happy weekend! I'm going to be focused on finishing!

Love them, love them, love them all!
Wish I had such cute fabrics.
Best regards

I have been loving those for years! I have tried to make them, but it's taken me a while to figure out that dark outlining thread is the ticket to making them look more finished and illustration-like.
Sooooo cute!!!! I love them.
i've made some holiday gifts already, but have more to finish... i've made a set of father & son ties out of super fun print for my BIL and 1 1/2 yr old nephew and a set of tea towels for my sister. i'm still working on embroidering a linen pillow for my mom, then i have to actually make it a pillow! i've thought about a few more, but i don't think i'll have the time.
Those are so sweet! And I love it - "Last Minute Girl"!!! Can it be a club? I want to join!!
Totally finishing last minute gift sewing here too!!! :) And LOVE these ideas, so might just start some more! lol!!! Thanks for sharing, they are beautiful!
These are just so darned cheerful. I really should attempt to make one or two, but right now I have too many projects in a total state of unfinishment. (good word?)
I just thought that these would be fantastic rendered as a tree skirt.

I really hope I can make it to Quilt Guild next week. We'll see.
Happy sewing!
I love these. Thanks for the tip on backing fabric with fusible web and then cutting. That is a great idea and makes things so much easier. Don't want to tell you how I've done them in the past but it was not as easy as your method.
These are really cute for some quick christmas giveaways. I like the designs on the smaller ones.
You should enter these in my sewing challenge blog here at, Paula's Sewing Challenges, and you could win a little something, something.
