Raising the White Flag

I surrender. I am officially confessing to myself and the world, I can't do it all. Sorry to have disappeared for so long, I tried to sew, blog, work on the book, and take care of my family...not to mention prepare for the holidays. I'm trying my best to stay motivated and push to the end so the holidays can be relaxing. My tomtar guards smile at me while I'm sewing, not to mention they watch over me. I think there's a bit of magic in them.

I'm shutting the blog down for awhile to reduce the pressure that lingers in the back of my mind while I'm doing other things. I'll be back with a reenergized Tallgrass Prairie Studio after the holidays. The projects for the book will be done and I can get back to creating and sharing things with you. Honestly, I can't wait.
So, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you who come here, read my ramblings, comment on my work, and share a bit of yourselves with me.
Thanks for a great 2010!
Jacquie

Jacquie, it's a healthy woman who recognizes that the plate is too full and is able to set aside some things so that others have room to breathe. Mixed metaphors I know, but true. Good for YOU!
We'll still be here when you get back refreshed and renewed.
Merry merry, joy joy!

Yeah, life just gets in the way sometimes doesn't it. I took a break from blogging for a couple of years. It really took the pressure off!! Merry Christmas to you and enjoy some "you" time. See you again some time in the New Year maybe.

Totally understandable, and truthfully refreshing to hear. (Sometimes when I see others who look like they can do it all, I wonder how... and what must be wrong with me? I can't come close to these superwoman feats of juggling it all.)

Enjoy your break, and have a wonderful Christmas!

I'm trying very hard to learn about discretion being the better part of valor. Good for you for making a choice, and taking the time you need. Have a restful holiday.

Hi Jacquie

So glad you are having a break from the computer and blogging. You give so much of yourself and you do need to take the time to recharge and re-assess your goals.

So tell your husband and your kids that they have to give you really big hugs on behalf of all your blogging friends who would love to do it in person. And next time you have a moment to pause, see if you can feel all the warm, affectionate vibes coming your way from all around the world.

Hugs - Shari
