Busy Week!

The week got away from me with a couple of quilt deadlines looming I neglected the blog and didn't get the book winner announced.  Life happens!

It was time for a quilt change on the bed.  This is the "Winter Windows" quilt from the book.  Isn't it interesting how I made quilts that would work in my home!
Just a reminder if you're in the Chicago area, I will be signing books and showing and talking quilts at The Needle Shop in Bucktown.  This great little gem of a store is located at 2054 West Charleston Street and I'll be there from 2:00 to 6:00 and while I'm there I'll be making a few fabric purchases!
I sure hope to see you there!  It's definitely worth the trip!
The winner of the book is Carly of Citric Sugar!  Another book heading to Canada!!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh, and here's a quick heads up.  Interweave is having their fabulous "hurt" book sale.  Not perfect books for amazing discounts.  A bent corner or a wrinkled page shouldn't get in the way of enjoying a great book. Want to stock up?  Now is your chance!  There are some "hurt" copies of "Quilting Modern" too!  Grab one while you can!  I hear books fly off their shelves during this sale.

That's one super awesome quilt! I love the blues and shapes.
Wish I could make it out to the Needle Shop, but it's just not going to work out.
I'm originally from Chicago, and moved back recently after living in Kansas (Overland Park) for 4 years.
I love reading your blog and am enjoying your book.

I will be there! I'm so looking forward to it, and that picture of the fabric rolls is just about to send me over the edge. I'll be coming in from NC -now that's dedication, right?! Never mind that my flight just happened to be scheduled for that day, I was just thrilled when you announced this event!
