Travels

Over the last three weeks I've been traveling, traveling, traveling. I've been having a ball talking, teaching and sharing quilts.  I taped an episode of Quilty with Mary Fons. (totally fun!!)  I'll get it together and share pictures from all my adventures one of these days.

Kris, Erica, Jenny (three amazing quilters from Fort Wayne, Indiana) took Pam (my friend from Michigan) and I on a field trip after I was done working.  We headed to Roanoke, Indiana to Fabric and Friends Quilt Shop.  The shop was in an old house and every room was stuffed to the gills with fabric.  We had a great time chatting, exploring and shopping.  People are so nice everywhere I go!
I got to see Moda's French General solids in person for the first time....oh my....it was love at first sight. I've looked at them online before, but it's so hard to tell from pictures on the screen what they are really like. They have a wonderful hand and the colors are so sophisticated.  I got a bunch in grays, brown, cream and blue/greens.  I cut into them this morning and I would highly recommend them.  Such a great addition to my stash.

I didn't get away with not buying prints either.  Aren't these fab, and so me!!

Now to business.  The winner of the We Love Color giveaway is #4 from our friend the random number generator and that is Kit Lang!!  Congrats Kit!  Drop me an email with your contact information and I'll forward it on to the folks at Stash.  They'll send you your prize!!

I have a few deadlines that I have to sew for this week....lots to do, so off to sew.  Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Love the fabrics! Just love them.....I wish I could steal them through the computer screen!

I am chuckling, when I read that line about "I've been having a ball talking,..." I thought you said you were having a "ball taking" and I had never had one of those.....
