Colorado Here I Come!

Colorado here I come....and I sure hope if you're near the Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins area you'll come out to see me and my quilts.

I have a couple of weeks at home before I start a heavy travel schedule again.  I'm so excited for my trip the first weekend of August to Colorado, I had to share it with you.  I'll start out in Denver at Fancy Tiger Crafts on Friday, August 3rd for a trunk show and book signing for their First Friday's event from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Should be so much fun and a time to see lots of quilts up close and personal!

The next day I'll be in Fort Collins for a special quilt-themed dinner sponsored by Angela of Mama Said Sew and Tara at the Inn at City Park.  The dinner will be at the Inn on August 4th at 6 p.m. and here's what Tara and Angela are planning!

"We’ll start the evening with a “Drunkard’s Path” Cocktail hour, followed by our “Pickle Dish” First course – pickled beets and green beans with micro greens, sugared pecans, and mustard vinaigrette. Next up, enjoy “Raw Edge” scallop with baby zucchini and basil with candied “Orange Peel”. We’ll then enjoy a Tea Rose Ice and listen to Jacquie talk about her work. Dinner will be “Half Square Triangle” polenta with Hazel Dell Mushrooms and “Free Pieced” chicken madeira jus. And finally dessert – caramel stippled Mocha Bavarian cream with fresh raspberries!
If you are interested in joining us, you can give us a call at the shop to sign up, or follow the link to rsvp via Eventbrite."

I hope if you're in the area you'll plan on coming.  I hear the Inn is beautiful and that Tara is an exceptional chef.  Who wouldn't want to participate in a "Drunkard's Path" Cocktail hour?

Then on Sunday and Monday I'll be in Boulder taping 'The Quilt Show' with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims.  Really?  Pinch me, why don't you!

It's going to be a crazy busy weekend, but the best part is that I get to stay with my friend Penny, many of you may know her as sewtakeahike!  Penny has been inspiring me since I started quilting and I can't hardly wait to finally meet her in person.

Hope to see you too!

PS....the winner of Jane's book is Beth.  Beth, you should have gotten an email from me.  Send me your contact info and Jane's publisher will get your book in the mail.  Congratulations!!
