Sometimes when you get burned, you need to bandage yourself up and start cooking again. I didn't think I'd have the attitude to look at more houses, but the sting of losing the first one wore off and before I knew it I was back cruising homes for sale. House hunting is time consuming but we think we may have lucked into a place. Maybe the second time around will stick.
We've made another offer on a condo. This time it's not new construction. It's the white building in the picture. I love the neighborhood and the location (proximity to transportation) couldn't be any better. There are three units in the building and we are buying the lower unit. It's the one with the closed curtains. In addition to the main floor there is a basement, which is a good thing (possible studio space). I love the trees and there is some outdoor space for my hubby and even a back yard for Bruno, postage stamp sized, but it has grass and Mr. B is going to love it.
Keep your fingers crossed for us. Moving day won't be for a few more months, but I'm actually glad about that. I'm not sure I could pack again right now. The sting of the move that wasn't hasn't quite worn off.

That looks great! Those huge windows would give so much natural light for quilting! ;) Best of luck with the move - I hope it all works out for you this time.
Lots of positive thoughts heading your way!
fingers AND toes crossed!
Good things come to those who wait!I love it, standing out in the crowd.
Nice large windows for light and views. And Bruno will be elated to not have to ride 37 floors down to throw up!
Things happen for a reason, and sometimes you just don't realize it until later, so maybe it just wasn't meant for you to have the other place, because this place is going to be 10 times better for you. So keep your chin up and enjoy what comes your way.
I love those huge windows, and modern style! I'll definitely be sending good thoughts your way to help you get it.
That looks beautiful and the small outdoor space is a nice "plus". Sounds like it "fits the bill" quite nicely! Waiting is always the hard part! Blessings and hugs, Doreen
Terrific! I hope all goes smoothly this time. And it is so nice to have a small space for Bruno! Are the windows at the back as generous as the front? Hope so! I don't have it, but good light is so wonderful.
Hope it all goes well this time around!
Beautiful! Could this be the Lakeview area?
Everything crossed for you!
Looks amazing. I can't stand moving and I completely empathize. Hope our works out. They place looks spectacular. My man and I have spokrn lately about how we could never move after buildings the work room, work shop, and chicken coop. We will just have to builds him the garage.
Looks like a wonderful place with those nice big windows - and outdoor space is such a bonus! Keeping fingers crossed for you :)
Okay, we've got lots of fingers crossed for you over here. Good luck!
Good for you for climbing back on that horse! The condo looks lovely and grass is grass! I'm sending good vibes your way! Good luck!
Good luck! It will work this time.
Best wishes Jacquie!
Rosie is crossing her paws that Bruno gets a yard, no matter what the size. Remember, I'm an experienced mover!
I may get arthritis with all my fingers and toes crossed like they are but you certainly deserve such a lovely space- and Bruno deserves a ground floor and a yard so crossed they will be until the good news arrives! I am thinking such a lovely modern space would be the perfect frame for all your gorgeous modern quilts!
It's the best looking building on the block! And you will have 1/3 of it! Wow! I hope things work out this time! Can't wait to see your lovely quilts hanging on those walls in no time!
Looks like the perfect mix of vintage and modern in that neighborhood. Hoping all goes smoothly!
Best wishes!
I wish you the best this time round. Still don't know how you've adjusted so well to moving from the country to the big big city. Not sure I could do it.
Good luck with that....I really hope this one turns out.
Fingers crossed. I will buy you those orange striped curtains!
Oh wow! So hoping this is a smooth move:). All that natural light coming in through that big window will be so useful for quilt designing!
I hope it works out for you this time. Funny, but I guessed the white one before I read it.
Good always comes to those who wait. You waited, now you are rewarded. I'm sure you will have good karma this go round. Better timing, too. The economy is brighter.
Good luck. Hoping things work out just as you want them to!
I hope it all goes well this time. We are maybe going to look for a home to buy this summer.... I just watched your episode of The Quilt Show, great job!
I don't understand the system of buying, is it like an auction? Or do you get handpicked? In any case very different from the straitforward european system.
The condo looks great, light and airy and in a quite street, lots of luck to you!
Love that big front window. Hope it all works out this time. Sounds great!
Yay! I really hope this one "sticks"! :)
(Bad real estate juju stinks!!)
It looks like a wonderful street. Sending good thoughts for this one to go through. Doors close and others open. May this be the right door for you, Steve and Bruno
Good luck with it all! Moving is no fun, but it's always nice to experience new neighborhoods, people, and their ways of life!
Even though you don't want to think about moving again if the sale goes through I bet your excitement will carry you through the nasty business of moving. Good luck.
Hang in there! This one looks incredible!
Greetings from Mexico City!
