Homage

I'm home.  I'm happy to be home.  I have a little regional work, but after that it's time to take care of me, my family and to take time to sew and create.

I'd like to share this quilt with you.  It's called Homage and the pattern and a short article are in the current issue of The Quilt Life magazine.  I love this quilt.  It's also going to be hanging at the Original Sewing and Quilt Expo in Tinley Park this weekend.

It's densely quilted with a diamond serpentine stitch.
Can't wait for it to come home.  As Kansas gals say, "there's no place like home!"

Glad to hear that you are home, and staying relatively close to home!

Homage is beautiful, and I'm still dying to try that serpentine stitch.

Gorgeous. The scale of the dense quilting is striking against the large color blocks.

Love your quilt, Jacquie. Selfishly, I'm glad you didn't go home before stopping by my part of the world. It was so much fun to meet you and see your work 'up close and in person'.

Enjoy your well deserved home-coming.

Wow, What a coincidence! I just finished sewing the binding on a quilt I made in similar colors. I call mine 'Homage to Josef'.
I love how you arranged your blocks!

another beautiful quilt. I love what you do with solids and to get such impact with such simple shapes is pure artistry. Great job as usual.

Another beautiful quilt. Love how you threw in one print with the solids (at least that's what it looks like to me).

What stitch on your sewing machine do you use to get the diamond stitch? I have a Bernina.

Gwen said...

I. Love. This. Quilt! I, too, have a Bernina and would like to know how you get that stitch. All I can manage is a rounded, wavy stitch.
