Nope, I'm not an apron girl, but at QuiltCon, staff are going to wear aprons so attendees can identify us (in addition to our nametags and very cool walkie talkies!) So, I went about making an apron. I decided to go for Chicago style and chose to use plain canvas and Chicago designer, Jessica Jones' fabric for the tie and pocket.
I winged it on the pattern and made it simple with one long pocket divided into three sections. Hopefully it will work for me.
So, look for me at QuiltCon...apron girl!
Well, you certainly can't go wrong with Jessica's fabric! Great choice!
ReplyDeleteAt least you went with aprons and not quilted vests.
ReplyDeleteI am an apron girl and I love this apron!
ReplyDeleteI love this fabric-she has such a great style. Really though, y'all won't need aprons-we know who you all are! Forgive us if we mob you...
ReplyDeleteI'll be on the lookout for you and your cute apron!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteCool fabrics!
Great apron! Lucky you for getting to carry the cool walkie talkie. I'll be on the look out ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove Cheryl's comment!
ReplyDeleteLove your apron - it will be fun to see all the different ones :)
See you soon!
Can't even begin to thank you and all the other contributors to Quiltcon and all the hard work you have and will do. You can stop by the Marmalade booth and coordinate with our aprons. Same designer different print.
ReplyDeleteThat is one sexy apron!!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute fabric.
ReplyDeleteThe apron is so cute! Wearing aprons - a great idea! Love the fabric!
ReplyDeleteI love your apron. But I may be slightly biased. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're going to laugh when you see the Marmalade aprons Arlene made for us last week!!
ReplyDeleteThe best aprons are the simple ones! Great fabric, too. In addition to your super-official walkie-talkie and event badge, I've got your CMQG nametag stitched out for you - see you at QuiltCon!
ReplyDeleteI'm really good friends with Jessica's mother. She will be so proud. Outside Oslo is a fabulous fabric line!!
ReplyDeleteHi there! I know you are in the S Tx area right now, and I look forward to meeting you at QuiltCon. I am also from the Tallgrass area of KS! I like your blog name and font!
ReplyDeleteSee you in a few days!
Leslie
Now that is a very smart looking apron..they don't have to be all frilly or hoaky...or like Cheryl said...no vest! Just Say No To The Vest!!!! I think it is very cool that you used a designer from your area!
