Making Progress

Here's a quick look at my progress. I finished the pillow shams that go with the Zig Zag quilt. I hope to get some bigger throw pillows done in the next week too. Whirlygiggles is done! The back is a bright lime green flannel with little blue polka dots. Love the quilting and the softness of this one. Have a few more stitches to rip and back to quilting Radio Flyer!

I love the way you quilted that last one--I liked it before but that quilting really does something for it!

wow! These look really great with the quilting done. I've never even thought about making quilted shams to match...such a great idea!

You have been so motivated - yesterday and today I haven't been at all. Love the whirlygiggles quilting - it really makes the quilt. And the shams are great - so much better than anything you would find anywhere.

Ditto on the quilting of the whirlygigs! I find that's where I often get stuck. I'm never sure if what I pick for the quilting design is the best way to complement the piecing.

And that radio fabric in your last post is fantastic!! I love the block you made with it. I say add it to the to do list...

Pillow shams! What a neat idea! You should submit that idea to one of the quilting magazines.

Your quilted pillowshams are awesome. I have made matching pillowcases before but I must say the quilted sham will really set off the quilt.

Jacquie,

Hi! I'm still catching up on blog reading from being away for a week.

LOVE the shams. I'm working on this quilt right now. All fabric is cut and tomorrow I will remember to sew 1/4 inch from my pencil lines!
