Off On a Tangent...Or Two...

I may not be working on my list of things to finish, but I am working on something. Finished the Peekaboo quilt top and pieced the back. It should be basted today and ready to quilt. I found this 3 Sisters fabric for the borders and the back. These fabrics have the soft feeling of the quilt. I also have a blue/aqua print for the binding that is the same blue in the baby print. I think it will add that tish of brightness that will make this quilt shine. I'm loving how this is coming together. It was such a whim. I started another project on a whim too...15 blocks of that one are completed, but my camera is acting up so that will have to wait. Again, so much to do, so little time. It's raining which means I can put the weeding on the back burner for now. Could it mean more time sewing? Only if I'm going to sew naked...I don't think we have a clean article of clothing in the house. Off to do laundry and clean the kitchen floor (only so I can baste the quilt without choking on dog hair). What I will do for my art! Have a great weekend!

It's just beautiful! I can hardly wait to see it with the binding. How are you going to quilt it?

Hurray for your blue and purple quilt arriving at Kids Quilts (Alison Marie) in Canada. What a wonderful cause to donate it to Jacquie!!

That is looking so pretty! Can't wait to see the finished product. The colors are so soft and don't overwhelm those cute little babies.

Yeah, the laundry is calling my name, too, almost drowned out by the kitchen floor.

I suppose I really should mop it.

so pretty - and I was laughing at the laundry predicament! I so can relate. I need to clean the kitchen floor too!

I love the colours, its a relaxing quilt, if you know what I mean. I also love the colours on the quilt on your sidebar at the top right.

Great blog,

Gill from Canada

How frustrating having to do some washing so that you have some clothes to wear...especially when you were almost finished the quilt...just think you could have draped that around you when it was finished and then you would not have to worry about being naked.

Does this quilt have an intended home...did I miss that somewhere? I love the soft peachy colour and noticed you got to use your polka dots again!

That's the beauty of laundry - you can do other stuff while it washes :)

Love the quilt top!

Gorgeous quilt - love those soft colours - can't believe how fast you work! You need to train your kids to do the laundry for you!!

So soft. I wouldn't recommend sewing naked...pins, scissors, rotary cutters oh my. As for laundry I think it multiplies when left unattended, just like dust bunnies!

Love it! I've been finishing to: three bibs and three burp clothes today - yeah! Thanks for the inspiration.

You amaze me with all of your creativity! I am grateful to hear that you do have some dog hair around. Makes me feel a bit better.

Your creations are so beautiful...ignore the laundry.

this is adorable, I love that baby fabric!

Do you quilt your quilts yourself? I am amazed at how much you get done. It takes me years to do one simple quilt and every time I turn around you have another one done. You are much faster than I am.

Oh, and see you in the morning for Coffee and Cinnamon buns. I take my coffee cold with a Diet Pepsi label =0P

Wow, another beautiful quilt.
Was it you that spit on the blood stain? I just poked my finger trying to sew some bibs and got some blood on it. The spit totally took it out. Thank you.

Very beautiful. I love it! It looks great! I wash sheets to baste my quilts, ok, it's not dog hair but still - do you wash your sheets just so you can baste a quilt?
