I... this quilt. it's about loving fabric... loving the challenge. (6 months in the making!) A few more rows and it'll be done. This quilt may put me in the running for 'crazy quilt lady.' I'll wear the title proudly.
rachel, it started out that way, but selvages disappear quickly! this quilt contains selvages from MANY of my blog friends. i couldn't have done it without them!!
I heart that quilt too. That robin's egg blue color is what really sets it apart from other's I've seen. Is that a Kona--would you mind sharing the color name?
Wow, that's an amazing quilt! I love it. It's interesting how so many traditional quilt styles look great done in selvages.
If anyone needs selvages, just ask your guild members, and soon you'll have more than you could ever use! Until they see the cool stuff you make; then they might want to hold onto them.
Jacquie, your quilt is a masterpiece. I love it. Congratulations! I hope you post pictures of it once you get it quilted. I would love to see it completely finished.
Oh I'm with you-LOVE this quilt! And what a labour of love it was for you!! Can't imagine collecting all those selvages...but SOOO worth it!! Well done! Paulette
Love it! Are you stitching the first strip and then inserting the second one under it and top stitching? Is that to reduce bulk? Just curious, I enjoy seeing how others work through different patterns.
Fabulous quilt, Jacquie! I have been saving selvedges for some time in case I ever ran into anyone who may need them. Are you in need of more? I will happily give them to you.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! (can you hear the Beatles singing?) This is my favourite quilt! I wish I had the time, the nerves and the selvedge to make one for our bed!
Whoa!! That is some kinda beautiful! I've been saving selvages for what seems like ages, just waiting for the right moment to begin. I'm a little scared. You've given me courage!
it's great. you may be a crazy quilt lady, but then again, so am I, since I just made a spiderweb too, but with strings, not selvages. its an intense project, but I had fun with it.
What a great quilt! I finally broke down and started saving salvages last year. I just need to pick out a project and get started. Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow, that's going to be beautiful when it's done. I had my doubts looking at each separate triangle but all put together, it's quite impressive.
Love of fabric, love of tradition, sharing the love (on the web) - it is lovely!

That's looking amazing! And you seem to have chosen the perfect blue to go with it - those strips really shine!
I adore the whole idea of using up the selvages! Perhaps I will start with a pillow. :-)
Awesome!! Do you need any more? Or do you know anyone who does? Cause I've been saving a bunch in case I find a crazy like you.... ;)
Wow! That is a lot of work. You are truly dedicated!
I'd never have enough selvedges saved to do anything like this - but WOW it's looking great.

I have never liked anything with selvages--there just wasn't enough color interest for me. This, however, is the exception. It's absolutely striking!

This quilt had better make an appearance at a future KC MQG meeting!! It's AWESOME!
Not crazy, clever! I love how you used a wider piece with an inch or so of the fabric for your last piece before the solids. It's a beaut Jacquie!
OMG!!! This is excellent!
This look amazing!! Do you need more salveges? I've saved a bunch but don't intend on using them... I'd love to send them your way!

Hey, I gave you a shout out on my blog today, check it out!
Hey Jacquie, FABULOUS! And you are not the only "crazy quilt lady" I've come across, I talked to one in the mirror this morning. Well done, my friend!
Lovely quilt. Someday I WILL make a spiderweb quilt.
It is smashing. This is probably my very favorite selvage project I've seen ever. Nice job Jacquie.

One of the most fantastic spider webs I've ever seen! Just great!

I have been wondering how this was going. Its is your masterpiece Jaquie, its breathtaking!
