A Touch of Spring in the Fall

'Monet's Flower Garden' is complete. One UFO out of the closet and finished. One down, many to go.
You can see the painting that was the inspiration for this quilt here. I think I achieved that 'dreamy' feeling I was going for. It only took me a year.

I love it. It definitely has that dreamy, floaty feeling. A perfect quilt to bring some summer sunshine into dreary fall and winter!!!
Blessings,
KT

So pretty; I can absolutley see the inspiration from Monet! Heading into darker and shorter days we need a bit of fabulos flowers and pretty colours.

So much to celebrate - a UFO finish, a beautiful quilt inspired by a painting, recycling pre-loved vintage sheets...and making space in the closet for another new project!! Lovely quilt Jacquie.

That definitely resembles the painting, and a year?? Better late than never! (I've had a cross stitch half finished in the basement for {eeek} 6 years or so?)

Beautiful! I love the low contrast and how blended it is. Congrats on finishing a long time UFO! That's gotta feel so good.

Fabulous! I've been dying to see how this one would turn out.

I think it turned out prettier than the painting, honestly... There is something very special about those vintage fabrics, maybe some kind of esthetic connection to my childhood?

I remember commenting on this when you were first working on it...LOVE how it turned out! I'm still plugging away on my UFO's as well.

I LOVE IT!!!

you did a great job watercoloring without a clue (nah, just sounded good, seeing as how you started that without knowing it was a whole movement! :-)

makes me wanna lie under it on a hammock with a pillow and a book....over my face while I sleep in the sun.

I do believe that you've achieved your objective. A very fresh and, well, yes, an exciting quilt; but very soothing, like water.
