Retro Inspired

The focal point pieced for the second quilt in the retro inspired series.

This is the plan, but I don't have enough background fabric to continue.  Stalled by having to order fabric.  Drat!

In the meantime I'm quilting the first in the series thanks to some wise advice from a couple of talented friends.

It's fun to work in a series.

  1. Frustrating to run out of fabric.

  2. Deciding how to quilt is the hardest part for me on all my quilts. I'm Constantly asking for advice on that. Glad your friends could help!

  3. I liked it until I saw the plan with the right angle above. Can't put my finger on what is off, though.

  4. I'm sure there is an inspiration for this newest design. You always have such great stories behind your quilts. Can't wait to hear this one. I'm liking it thus far. Thanks for the sneak peek.

  5. Wow! Interesting study. Perfect placement of angles, negative, solid, color. Geometry Game. Going to be very interesting to quilt. Lots of tension. Can't wait to see what you do with this.

  6. ...and there are some quilters who think of the quilt to go with their quilting, or design the quilting AS they design the quilt. I'm the kind who more often gets it on the frame first. Can't wait to see these quilted!

  7. As I read your post admiring your quilt I saw that you typed "drat". How funny I use that phrase all the time. Must be a midwest thing. Love your work.....Lisa
